IN Bands is an independent news and information website. We are not affiliated with or officially associated with any marching band competition circuit or other organization, school, or band program we cover. These include, but are not limited to, the Indiana State School Music Association (ISSMA), Bands of America (BOA)/Music for All (MFA), and the Mid-States Band Association (MSBA).
Our coverage of competitions, organizations, events, and individual programs is intended to provide information to the public and should not be interpreted as an official communication from those organizations. The appearance of an organization, event, or program on IN Bands does not imply sponsorship, partnership, or endorsement.
We provide a public forum where members of the marching band community can share opinions, discuss topics, and engage in public discourse about Indiana marching band.
Posts, comments, and other user-submitted content represent the views of the individuals who post them, not those of IN Bands, its owners, operators, or contributors. User-generated content should not be interpreted as an official statement or position of IN Bands.
While we encourage open and constructive discussion, IN Bands does not necessarily agree with, endorse, or verify statements made by forum users. Users are responsible for the content they submit. We reserve the right to moderate, edit, or remove content in accordance with our policies.
We respect the rules and restrictions established by the competition circuits and organizations whose events we cover, including restrictions on publicly sharing scores, results, rankings, and other event-related information. Users are expected to respect these restrictions when posting in our public forum, regardless of their personal opinions about the policies themselves.
If user content that violates an organization's rules or restrictions on sharing information is encountered, please use the forum's report feature to bring it to our attention. Reported content will be reviewed and could be removed. Violations may result in warnings, posting restrictions, suspension, or other account-level action, including restrictions on a user's associated accounts, as appropriate.
Our goal is to maintain a forum that supports constructive discussion while respecting the rules and requirements of the organizations in our activity.
We make a good-faith effort to provide accurate, reliable, and timely information. However, our coverage of marching band activity across Indiana depends in large part on information submitted by band programs, event organizers, participants, and members of the public.
While we do our best to review submissions and verify information when reasonably possible, we cannot independently confirm every detail of every announcement, result, schedule, report, or other item we publish. Information may occasionally be incomplete, delayed, outdated, or inaccurate, and errors may occur.
Readers should consult the relevant school, band program, event organizer, or competition organization for official information, particularly for schedules, results, or other details that may change.
If you notice an error or have updated information to share, please submit it to our Submissions Form so we can review it and make corrections where appropriate.
This site is maintained by volunteers who share a passion for Indiana marching band. While we strive to keep information current and respond to submissions as promptly as possible, our volunteers also have professional, personal, and other commitments, including working with our own ensembles or helping facilitate competitions. As a result, updates, corrections, and new information may not always be reflected immediately. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
Our purpose is to inform, connect, and support the Indiana marching band community by making news and information easier to find and share. We appreciate the contributions of the individuals and organizations who help make that possible, and we welcome your participation in helping IN Bands remain a useful resource for Indiana marching band.
